Description
I have had my 54 Chevy for about 12 years for 8 years it was all original and 4 years ago with the help of a few good friends we did some custom work to it.
Nosed and decked, remote doors, cut down tube grill from a 57 Ford, tail lights are flat lens made out of a 85 Chevy, 2 tear drop antennas.
I still have the 235 6 cyl. engine with a Clifford 4 bbl intake with a Edelbrock 500 cfm carb, heat and air conditioning, ceramic headers with dual shorty glass packs, the 3 speed shift was moved from the column to the floor with a National Chevy shift kit and I have a lot of chrome, polished aluminum and mirror finished stainless under the hood.
Inside are the powered seats from a 2001 Buick, center counsel from a 99 Dodge Durango, the door panels and head liner are custom made.
My wife calls the car Zippy since with the 6 Cyl. engine it just zips down the road. So that is how my car got the name Zippy. Since I had the name painted on the trunk some of my friends call me Zippy.
